     Colonel Reginald McDowell Williams was born on 24 August 1876 at Mitcham, South Australia, Australia.¹ He was the son of John Herbert Berthon Williams and Maria MacDowell.¹ He died in 1925 at Switzzerland.¹
     He was educated at Geelong Grammer School, Geelong, Victoria, Australia.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1901 in the 1st York and Lancaster Regiment.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1911.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was severley wounded and gassed at the Third Battle of Ypres.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1916.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1919.¹

     Hartley Williams was born in 1881.¹ He was the son of John Herbert Berthon Williams and Maria MacDowell.¹ He died on 3 August 1894 at Christchurch, New Zealand.¹ He was buried at St. Peter's Church, Christchurch, New Zealand.¹

     Ethel Herbert Williams was born in 1882.¹ She was the daughter of John Herbert Berthon Williams and Maria MacDowell.¹ She died in 1884 at South Australia, Australia.¹
