He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1895 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1896 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1916.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Amyand, of London [G.B., 1764] on 21 January 1951.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.3
