     Sir Robert Gore Micklethwait was born on 7 November 1902.¹ He was the son of St. John Gore Micklethwait.¹ He married Philippa Janette Bosanquet, daughter of Sir Samuel Ronald Courthope Bosanquet and Mary Acland Anson, in 1936.¹ He died on 8 September 1992 at age 89 at Englefield Green, Surrey, England.¹
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1925 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Worcester between 1946 and 1959.¹ He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1956.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1964.¹ He was Chief of the National Insurance Commission between 1966 and 1975.¹

     Philippa Janette Bosanquet was born in 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Samuel Ronald Courthope Bosanquet and Mary Acland Anson.¹ She married Sir Robert Gore Micklethwait, son of St. John Gore Micklethwait, in 1936.¹ She died on 13 January 2009.¹

     Samuel Courthope Bosanquet was born on 2 March 1832.² He was the son of Samuel Richard Bosanquet and Emily Courthope. He married Mary Arkwright, daughter of John Arkwright and Sarah Hoskyns. He died on 27 March 1925 at age 93.²
