     Titus Salt was born on 28 August 1843.1 He was the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.2 He married Catherine Crossley, daughter of Joseph Crossley, on 15 March 1866.1 He died on 19 November 1887 at age 44.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.1

     Gordon Locksley Salt was born on 17 December 1866.1 He was the son of Titus Salt and Catherine Crossley.2 He married Florence Mary Scarlett, daughter of Reverend James Williams Scarlett and Barbara Isabella Lawson, on 29 April 1903.1 He died on 12 April 1938 at age 71.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1
