Joan Maguire was the daughter of Constantine 'Coarb' Maguire.1 She married, firstly, Ferdoragh O'Neill, 1st Baron of Dungannon, son of Con 'Baccach' O'Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone and Alison Kelly.1 She married, thirdly, Owen Mactoole O'Gallagher before 11 August 1589.1 She married, secondly, Henry O'Neill, Lord of the Fews, son of Feidhlimidh 'Ruadh' O'Neill, Lord of the Fews.1 She died on 22 June 1600.1
Her married name became O'Neill.1 After her marriage, Joan Maguire was styled as Baroness of Dungannon on 1 October 1542. From before 11 August 1589, her married name became O'Gallagher.

Brian O'Neill, 2nd Baron of Dungannon was the son of Ferdoragh O'Neill, 1st Baron of Dungannon and Joan Maguire.2 He died on 12 April 1562, murdered by his cousin and rival Turlough Lynagh O'Neill, Tanist to Shane an Diomais, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron of Dungannon [I., 1542] in 1558.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Tyrone [I., 1542] in 1559, de jure, as which he must have in effect succeeded grandfather (but apparently was never so recognised.)1

Hugh O'Neill, 4th Baron of Dungannon was born before December 1585.1 He was the son of Hugh O'Neill, 3rd Earl of Tyrone and Siobhan O'Donnell.2 He died on 23 September 1609 at Rome, Italy, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baron of Dungannon [I., 1542] on 10 May 1587, in his father's lifetime.1 In 1608 he accompanied his father in resistance to English and the migration from Ireland, hence was also attainted.1

Sarah O'Neill was the daughter of Hugh O'Neill, 3rd Earl of Tyrone and Siobhan O'Donnell.2 She married Arthur Magennis, 1st Viscount Magennis of Iveagh, son of unknown Magennis, on 18 July 1623.1 She died on 26 April 1640.1
