     Robert William Hudson, 2nd Viscount Hudson was born on 28 April 1922.¹ He was the son of Robert Spear Hudson, 1st Viscount Hudson and Hannah Randolph.¹ He married Marie-Claire Schmitt, daughter of Adrien Schmitt, on 14 October 1948.¹ He and Marie-Claire Schmitt were divorced in 1961.¹ He died on 28 August 1963 at age 41.¹
     He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1945, with the Life Guards.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Hudson, of Pewsey, co. Wilts [U.K., 1952] on 2 February 1957.¹
     On his death, his title became extinct.¹
