Rear-Admiral Richard Byron1

     Rear-Admiral Richard Byron was born on 30 July 1769.1 He was the son of Rev. Hon. Richard Byron and Mary Farmer.2 He married Sarah Sykes, daughter of James Sykes, on 23 September 1801.1 He died on 2 September 1837 at age 68.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1

Sarah Sykes1

     Sarah Sykes was the daughter of James Sykes.2 She married Rear-Admiral Richard Byron, son of Rev. Hon. Richard Byron and Mary Farmer, on 23 September 1801.1 She died on 11 August 1861.1
     From 23 September 1801, her married name became Byron.

Commander Richard Byron1

     Commander Richard Byron was born in 1802.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.2 He died on 23 February 1843, at sea, while in command of HM Sloop Champion.1
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1

Captain James Byron1

     Captain James Byron was born in 1803.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.2 He died in May 1858.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the British Army.1

Reverend John Byron1

     Reverend John Byron was born on 21 September 1804.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.2 He married Mary Richardson, daughter of William Richardson, on 8 December 1830.1 He died on 6 December 1878 at age 74.1
     He was the Vicar at Elmstone-Hardwick, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was Chaplain to the Duke of Sutherland.1

     Mary Richardson was the daughter of William Richardson.2 She married Reverend John Byron, son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes, on 8 December 1830.1 She died on 30 December 1842.1
     From 8 December 1830, her married name became Byron.

Maj.-Gen. John Byron1

     Maj.-Gen. John Byron was born on 14 September 1832 at Guildford, London, England.2 He was the son of Reverend John Byron and Mary Richardson.3 He married Susan Amelia Graves Chiappini, daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie, on 24 October 1865 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.2 He died on 13 August 1895 at age 62 at Surbiton, Surrey, England.2
     He fought in the Crimea War in 1854, where he was taken prisoner by the Russians at Sebastopol.2 He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in the 10th Regiment of Foot.2 He was Major-General of the 10th Foot.1

Dr. John Briggs1

     Dr. John Briggs was born in 1757.1 He was the son of Gilbert Briggs.1 He married Martha Pybus, daughter of John Pybus and Martha Small, in 1784 at India.1 He married Honor Dodson, daughter of John Dodson and Sarah Carey, on 8 January 1798 at Madras, India.1 He died on 5 September 1830 at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.1
     He was Surgeon-Geenral to Madras.1
