     General Sir Edward Pemberton Leach, V.C. was born on 2 April 1847 at Londonderry, County Londonderry, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Archibald Leach.1 He married Elizabeth Mary Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, in 1883.1 He died on 26 April 1913 at age 66 at Cadenabbia, ItalyG.1,2 He was buried at Grienze Church, Cadenabbia, ItalyG.2
     He fought in the Second Afghan War in 1878.2 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 9 December 1879, for his actions on 17 March 1879.1,2 He gained the rank of General in the Royal Engineers.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)1

     Annie Caroline Bazley was born on 25 February 1862.2 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner.1 She married Frederic Pocock Bulley, son of Frederic Bulley, on 16 February 1887 at Hatherop, Gloucestershire, England.1 She died on 25 June 1944 at age 82, leaving issue.1
     From 16 February 1887, her married name became Bulley.1

     From 5 January 1892, her married name became Assheton.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cambridgeshire.3

     From 27 July 1898, her married name became Dimsdale.1
