     Adela Mary Bertie was born on 12 January 1845.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Hon. Frederic Bertie and Lady Georgina Anne Emily Kerr. She married Cecil Newton Lane, son of John Newton Lane and Hon. Agnes Bagot, on 12 December 1876. She died on 27 February 1925 at age 80.
     Her married name became Lane.
