     Brigadair Norman Duncan McCorquodale was born on 19 November 1898.1 He was the son of Norman McCorquodale and Constance Helena Burton.1 He married Barbara Helen de Knoop, daughter of Captain Jersey J. J. de Knoop and Evelyn Elizabeth Fletcher, on 19 April 1923.1 He died on 17 October 1971 at age 72.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He lived at Maxton House, St. Boswells, Roxburghshire, Scotland.3

Isobel, Countess of Strathmore 1
     Isobel Charlotte Weatherall was the daughter of Captain Anthony Edward Weatherall and Amelia Sophie Keswick. She married Michael Fergus Bowes-Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, son of Fergus Michael Claude Bowes-Lyon, 17th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Mary Pamela McCorquodale, on 14 November 1984.2 She and Michael Fergus Bowes-Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne were divorced in 2005.3
     From 14 November 1984, her married name became Bowes-Lyon. After her marriage, Isobel Charlotte Weatherall was styled as Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne on 18 July 1987.

He married Lady Mary Cecilia Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Captain Hon. Michael Claude Hamilton Bowes-Lyon and Elizabeth Margaret Cator, on 10 November 1951.1 He died on 9 September 2021 at age 91.2
     He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk in 1978.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1996.1
