     Patrick Abercromby was born in 1656.² He was the son of Alexander Abercromby and Jean Seton.¹ He died circa 1716.²
     He wrote the book Memoirs of the Family of Abercromby.¹ He was a physician.¹ He wrote the book Martial Achievements of the Scottish Nation.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     John Fane was born on 6 January 1751.¹ He was the son of Henry Fane and Charlotte Luther.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Parker, daughter of Thomas Parker, 3rd Earl of Macclesfield and Mary Heathcote, on 16 November 1773.¹ He died on 8 February 1824 at age 73.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1796 and 1824.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) in 1797.¹ He lived at Wormsley, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He also had a daughter, who died unmarried.¹

     Elizabeth Lowndes-Stone was the daughter of William Lowndes-Stone-Norton and Elizabeth Garth.¹ She married John Fane, son of John Fane and Lady Elizabeth Parker, on 6 June 1802.¹ She died on 20 November 1865.¹
     Her married name became Fane.

     William Francis Lowndes-Stone-Norton was born on 27 October 1783.² He was the son of William Lowndes-Stone-Norton and Elizabeth Garth. He married Caroline Strickland, daughter of Sir William Strickland, 6th Bt. and Henrietta Cholmley, on 9 October 1811.³ He died in 1858.²
     He was given the name of William Lowndes-Stone at birth.² He lived at Brightwell Park, Brightwell Baldwin, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Commander Francis Wharton Darwin is the son of Colonel Charles Waring Darwin.¹ He married Beryl Georgina Louisa Orde-Powlett, daughter of Colonel Thomas Charles Orde-Powlett and Harriet Georgiana Rooper, on 14 September 1921.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Joanna Hobhouse was the daughter of Sir Benjamin Hobhouse, 1st Bt. and Amelia Parry.¹ She married Reverend Frederick Adrian Scrope Fane, son of John Fane and Elizabeth Lowndes-Stone, on 10 June 1834.¹ She died on 8 April 1878.¹
     Her married name became Fane.

     Constance Isabel Ward was born on 11 August 1905.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Guy Bernard Campbell Ward and Beatrice Constance Charlotte Butler.¹ She married Lieutenant Charles Lawrence Mackness, son of William Reginald Mackness and Ethel Jane Lawrence, on 23 December 1932.¹
     From 23 December 1932, her married name became Mackness.¹ She lived in 1999 at 7 Minford Gardens, London, England^G.¹

     Lieutenant Charles Lawrence Mackness was born on 28 February 1911. He was the son of William Reginald Mackness and Ethel Jane Lawrence.¹ He married Constance Isabel Ward, daughter of Lt.-Col. Guy Bernard Campbell Ward and Beatrice Constance Charlotte Butler, on 23 December 1932.¹ He died on 6 October 1943 at age 32 at Termoli, Italy, killed in action.¹
     He was educated between 1924 and 1929 at King's School, Canterbury, Kent, England^G. He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the The Buffs.¹

     William Reginald Mackness married Ethel Jane Lawrence.
     He was in the Consular Service.¹
