Admiral Edmond Hyde Parker was born on 30 January 1868.1 He was the son of Captain Sir William Parker, 9th Bt. and Sophia Mary Barnardiston. He married Helen Margaret Portal, daughter of Reverend George Raymond Portal and Helen Mary Charlotte Soulsby, on 17 September 1908.2 He was also reported to have been married on 8 September 1908.1 He died on 19 August 1951 at age 83, without issue.1
He was educated at Stubbington House School, Fareham, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval Colleges.1 He was Commander of the Training Squadroon between 1912 and 1914.1 He was Commander of HMS Superb Grand Fleet during the First World War.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to HM George V in 1917.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.2,1 He was director of Mobilisation Admiralty between 1918 and 1921.1 He was Commander of the Portsmouth Division Reserve Fleet between 1921 and 1922.1 He was Commander of the Reserve Fleet between 1922 and 1923.1 He was appointed Order of St. Anne of Russia.1

Helen Mary Charlotte Soulsby was baptised on 5 October 1828 at Bessingby, Yorkshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Christopher Thomas Soulsby and Ann Hudson.1 She married, firstly, William Daubuz, son of Lewis Charles Daubuz and Wilmot Arundel, on 23 May 1850 at Old Church, St. Pancras, London, England.2,1 She married, secondly, Reverend George Raymond Portal, son of John Portal and Elizabeth Drummond, on 26 December 1860 at British Legation, Turin, Italy.2,1 She died on 9 May 1904 at age 75.2
