     Jehangir Bomonjee Petit was born on 21 August 1879.1 He was the son of Bomonjee Dinshaw Petit and Gulbai Nanabhoy Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Moogana.1 He married Jaljee Sorabjee Patuck on 7 May 1898.1 He died on 4 February 1946 at age 66.1
     He was founder and president of the Indian Progressive Federation in 1920.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Bombay] between 1921 and 1934.1 He was founder of The Indian Daily Mail between 1923 and 1931.1

     Jaljee Sorabjee Patuck married Jehangir Bomonjee Petit, son of Bomonjee Dinshaw Petit and Gulbai Nanabhoy Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Moogana, on 7 May 1898.1 She died on 15 June 1954.1
     She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1 She was awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind.1 From 7 May 1898, her married name became Petit.1

     Dhunjibhoy Bomonjee Petit was born on 12 September 1881.1 He was the son of Bomonjee Dinshaw Petit and Gulbai Nanabhoy Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Moogana.1 He married Hamabal Sett, daughter of Jalbhai Ardeshir Sett, on 15 February 1900.1 He died on 14 April 1957 at age 75.1
     He was a merchant and millowner.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bombay.1
