     Herbert William Pryse was born on 7 November 1872.¹ He was the son of Sir Pryse Pryse, 1st Bt. and Louisa Joan Lewes.¹ He married Ethel Schuler Parsons, daughter of Captain Frederick Thomas Parsons, on 23 July 1896.¹ He died on 28 December 1948 at age 76.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Suffolk Regiment.¹

     Ethel Schuler Parsons was the daughter of Captain Frederick Thomas Parsons.¹ She married Herbert William Pryse, son of Sir Pryse Pryse, 1st Bt. and Louisa Joan Lewes, on 23 July 1896.¹ She died on 10 June 1943.¹
     From 23 July 1896, her married name became Pryse.¹
