     Sir George Francis Murphy, 2nd Bt. was born on 31 March 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Michael Murphy, 1st Bt. and Mary Freeman.1 He married Frances Mary Davoren, daughter of Richard Davoren, on 8 January 1913.1 He died on 4 July 1963 at age 82.2
     He was a director of Commercial Union Assurance Co.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Murphy, of Wykeham, Taney, co. Dublin [U.K., 1912] on 10 April 1925.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
