Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt. was born on 23 September 1859.1 He was the son of John Jardine.1 He married Ada Jane Fletcher, daughter of James Fletcher, on 28 July 1883.1 He died on 26 April 1947 at age 87.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Somerset between 1910 and 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Jardine, of Nottingham [U.K.] on 22 May 1919.1 He was chairman of John Jardine Ltd, Barlock Company, Trent Navigation Company and Nottingham Colwick Estates Ltd.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottingham.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottingham in 1928.1

Sir John Jardine, 2nd Bt. was born on 3 October 1884.1 He was the son of Sir John Jardine, 1st Bt. and Ada Jane Fletcher.1 He died on 1 August 1965 at age 80.2
He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers Signals.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottingham in 1932.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottingham.1 He was Deputy Commissioner of British Red Cross and St. John War Organisation in the Middle East between 1939 and 1943.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jardine, of Nottingham [U.K., 1919] on 26 April 1947.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
