     Sir Surr William Duncan, 1st Bt. was born on 14 January 1834.1 He was the son of William Morrison Duncan and Elizabeth Cockill.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Heaton, daughter of Thomas Colby Heaton.1 He married, firstly, Mary Kenion, daughter of William Kenion, on 16 August 1856.1 He died on 31 December 1908 at age 74.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Duncan, of Horsforth Hall, Guiseley, West Riding, co. York [U.K.] on 9 December 1905.1

     Sir Frederick William Duncan, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 August 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Surr William Duncan, 1st Bt. and Mary Kenion.1 He married Helen Julia Pfizer, daughter of Charles Pfizer, on 22 May 1888.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Duncan, of Horsforth Hall, Guiseley, West Riding, co. York [U.K., 1905] on 31 December 1908.1 He was Consult-General for Austria between 1912 and 1914.1

     Mary Kenion was the daughter of William Kenion.1 She married, firstly, W. Bentley.1 She married, secondly, Sir Surr William Duncan, 1st Bt., son of William Morrison Duncan and Elizabeth Cockill, on 16 August 1856.1 She died on 1 April 1867.1
     Her married name became Bentley.1 From 16 August 1856, her married name became Duncan.1
