Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Byrne Warren Leicester, 9th Bt. was born on 30 March 1896.1 He was the son of Major William Frederic Leicester and Mary Lilian Young.1 He died on 18 May 1968 at age 72.2
He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st King's Dragoon Guards.3 He fought in the Iraq and Persia Campaign in 1920.3 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.3 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Byrne, of Timogue, Queen's County [I., 1671] on 12 January 1945.1 He wrote the book Bloodstock Breeding, published 1957.3 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
