     Henry de Courcy Hamilton was born on 21 August 1856 at Docking, Norfolk, England.¹ He was the son of John de Courcy Hamilton and Anna Chapman Hilhouse.¹ He married Edith Margaret Gregory, daughter of Josiah Thomas Bennett Gregory and Margaret Matilda Perry, on 10 March 1887.¹ He died on 25 January 1940 at age 83 at Camberley, Surrey, England.¹

     Edith Margaret Gregory was born in August 1862.¹ She was the daughter of Josiah Thomas Bennett Gregory and Margaret Matilda Perry.¹ She married Henry de Courcy Hamilton, son of John de Courcy Hamilton and Anna Chapman Hilhouse, on 10 March 1887.¹ She died on 6 October 1933 at age 71.¹
     From 10 March 1887, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     John Almeric de Courcy Hamilton was born on 7 October 1896.¹ He was the son of Henry de Courcy Hamilton and Edith Margaret Gregory.¹ He married Noreen Mary Hamilton-Wedderburn, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Kellerman Hamilton-Wedderburn and Aileen Mary Vincent.¹ He died on 24 November 1973 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1946.¹
