     Thomas Brand, 20th Lord Dacre was born on 25 March 1774 at The Hoo, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Thomas Brand and Gertrude Roper, Baroness Dacre.1 He married Barberina Ogle, daughter of Admiral Sir Chaloner Ogle, 1st Bt. and Hester Thomas, on 4 December 1819.1 He died on 21 March 1851 at age 76 at The Hoo, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1
     He was a practising barrister in 1800.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Hertfordshire between 1807 and 1819.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Helston between January 1807 and April 1807.1 He succeeded as the 20th Lord Dacre [E., 1321] on 3 October 1819.1

     Eliza Ellice was born in 1818.2 She was the daughter of General Robert Ellice and Eliza Courtney.1,2 She married Henry Bouverie William Brand, 1st Viscount Hampden of Glynde, son of General Henry Otway Trevor, 21st Lord Dacre and Pyne Crosbie, on 16 April 1838 at St. George's Hanover Square, London, England.1,3 She died on 9 March 1899 at Pelham House, Lewes, Sussex, EnglandG.2
     Her married name became Brand. After her marriage, Eliza Ellice was styled as Viscountess Hampden of Glynde on 4 March 1884.

     General Robert Ellice was born in 1784.2 He was the son of Alexander Ellice.2 He married Eliza Courtney, daughter of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Lady Georgiana Spencer, on 10 December 1814 at Scarborough, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 18 June 1856 at Sydenham, Surrey, England.2,3
