Cornelius Mann and Sarah Fyers.¹ He was baptised on 9 December 1817 at St. Mary, Lewisham, Kent, England.¹ He married Caroline Ann Maclear, daughter of Sir Thomas Maclear and Mary Pearse, in 1853 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.¹ He died on 30 April 1873 at age 55 at Claremont, Cape Province, South Africa.¹
     He was astronomer between 1847 and 1872 at Cape Observatory, Claremont, Cape Province, South Africa.¹

     Sir Thomas Maclear was born on 17 March 1794.¹ He married Mary Pearse.¹ He died on 14 July 1879 at age 85.¹

     Isabella Jane Wright is the daughter of Thomas Wright.¹ She married Edward Peter Mann, son of Maj.-Gen. Cornelius Mann and Sarah Fyers, on 12 August 1852 at Donnybrook, County Dublin, Ireland.¹
     From 12 August 1852, her married name became Mann.¹
