     Sir Matthew Fetherstonhaugh, 1st Bt. was born circa 1715.1 He was the son of Matthew Fetherstonhaugh.1 He married Sarah Lethieullier, daughter of Christopher Lethieullier and Sarah Lascelles, on 24 December 1746 at St. Anne's, Soho, London, England.1 He died on 18 March 1774 at Whitehall, London, England.1 He was buried on 26 March 1774 at Stanford-le-hope, Essex, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in March 1774.1
     He purchased Uppark, Harting, Sussex in 1747.1 He was created 1st Baronet Fetherstonhaugh [Great Britain] on 3 January 1746/47.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1752.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Morpeth from November 1755 to 1761.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portsmouth between 1762 and 1774.1 He purchased Ladyholt, Harting, Sussex in 1767.1

     Sarah Lethieullier was the daughter of Christopher Lethieullier and Sarah Lascelles.2 She married Sir Matthew Fetherstonhaugh, 1st Bt., son of Matthew Fetherstonhaugh, on 24 December 1746 at St. Anne's, Soho, London, England.1 She died on 27 August 1788.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered in May 1790.1
     From 24 December 1746, her married name became Fetherstonhaugh.1

     Sir Henry Fetherstonhaugh, 2nd Bt. was born on 22 December 1754 at Uppark, Sussex, England.1 He was the son of Sir Matthew Fetherstonhaugh, 1st Bt. and Sarah Lethieullier.1 He married Mary Anne Bullock on 12 September 1825 at Uppark, Sussex, England.1 He died on 24 October 1846 at age 91 at Uppark, Sussex, England, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Fetherstonhaugh [G.B., 1747] on 18 March 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portsmouth between 1782 and 1796.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
