Sir John Stepney, 8th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Stepney, 7th Bt. and Eleanor Lloyd.1 He died in October 1811 at Vienna, Austria, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Stepney, of Prendergast, co. Pembroke [E., 1625] on 7 October 1772.1 He was Envoy Extraordinary to Dresden in 1775.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouth.1 He was Envoy Extraordinary to Berlin in 1782.1

Sir Thomas Stepney, 9th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Stepney, 7th Bt. and Eleanor Lloyd.1 He married Catherine Pollok, daughter of Reverend Thomas Pollok and Susannah Palmer, on 8 June 1813.1 He died on 12 September 1825, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Stepney, of Prendergast, co. Pembroke [E., 1625] in October 1811.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
