     William Paul was born in 1599.1 He was the son of William Paul and Joane Harrison.1 He married Rachel Clitherow, daughter of Sir Christopher Clitherow.1 He married Mary Glemham, daughter of Sir Henry Glemham and Lady Anne Sackville, in 1632.1 He married Alice Cutler, daughter of Thomas Cutler, on 22 January 1634/35 at St. Giles in the Fields, London, England.1 He died on 24 August 1665.1
     He was educated at All Souls' College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Bishop of Oxford between 1663 and 1665.1
