     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Angela du Maurier was born on 1 March 1904 at London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Gerald du Maurier.¹ She died on 5 February 2002 at age 97.¹
