     Ethel Christina Thoms was the daughter of George Ricardo Thoms.1 She married, secondly, W. H. Hallam.1 She married, firstly, John Lawrence May, 2nd Baron May, son of Sir George Ernest May, 1st Baron May and Lily Julia Strauss, on 29 October 1928.1 She died on 18 August 1999.1
     Her married name became Hallam.1 From 29 October 1928, her married name became May.1 After her marriage, Ethel Christina Thoms was styled as Baroness May on 10 April 1946.
