James Haughton was born on 17 October 1836.1 He was the son of John Haughton and Louisa Courtauld Osbourne.2 He married Frances Matilda Sadleir, daughter of Richard Sadleir and Matilda Frances Massy, on 11 August 1864.1 He died on 24 August 1912 at age 75.1
