     He was an optician and constructor of reflecting telescopes.³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1864.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Astronomical Society (F.R.A.S.) in 1870.¹ He lived at Rathmines, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹

     Hoël Carlos Pattisson was born on 3 September 1905 at West Byfleet, Surrey, England.¹ He married Nancy Marion Scott, daughter of Thomas Gilbert Scott and Violet Ann Marriott, on 5 May 1934 at Peasmarsh, Sussex, England.¹ He died on 10 July 1979 at age 73 at Rye, Sussex, England.¹

     Edith Atkinson married Henry Thomas Grubb, son of Thomas Grubb and Sarah Palmer, in 1876.¹
