Sir Henry Wilmot Wilmot, 5th Bt., V.C. was born on 3 February 1831.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Sacheverel Wilmot, 4th Bt. and Maria Mundy.2 He married Charlotte Cecilia Pare, daughter of Reverend Frederick Harry Pare and Geraldine FitzGerald-de Ros, on 15 July 1862.1 He died on 7 April 1901 at age 70, without issue.1
He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)1 He fought in the Siege of Lucknow in 1857.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Rifle Brigade.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Derbyshire between 1869 and 1885.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Wilmot, of Chaddesden, co.
