Violet Isabel Slingsby Bethell was born on 28 February 1859.1 She was the daughter of Hon. Slingsby Bethell and Caroline Chaplin.2 She married Major Archibald William Beach, son of Rt. Hon. William Wither Bramston Beach and Caroline Chichester Cleveland, on 5 January 1888.1 She died on 19 September 1891 at age 32.1

Llewelyn Slingsby Bethell was born on 22 July 1889.1 He was the son of Hon. Slingsby Bethell and Laura Beatrice Maunsell.2 He married Margery Gladys Farnell, daughter of George Stanley Farnell, on 6 July 1914.1 He died on 5 January 1971 at age 81.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of officer in 1917 in the Nigeria and Gold Coast Regiments.1 He fought in the First World War.1
