Major Charles Lexington Manners Sutton was born on 26 April 1891.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Nassau Sutton and Edith Mary Cafe.2 He married, firstly, Amabel Anne Ludlow, daughter of Major Ludlow Couper Ludlow and Amabel Ludlow, on 12 September 1917.1 He and Amabel Anne Ludlow were divorced.1 He married, secondly, Gladys Louise Gubb, daughter of Percy Gubb, on 11 June 1932.2 He died on 8 October 1962 at age 71.3 He was buried at Holy Trinity Churchyard, Hurst Green, Sussex, England.3
