Maurice Horatio Nelson was born on 2 January 1832.1 He was the son of Thomas Nelson, 2nd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton and Frances Elizabeth Eyre.1 He married Emily Burrard, daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Burrard, 2nd Bt. and Louisa Lushington, on 21 April 1863.1 He died on 6 September 1914 at age 82.1

Admiral Sir Charles Burrard, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 March 1793.1 He was the son of General Sir Harry Burrard, 1st Bt. and Hannah Darby.2 He married Louisa Lushington, daughter of Sir Henry Lushington, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Maria Lewis, on 8 April 1826 at Naples, ItalyG.3 He died on 12 July 1870 at age 77.1
He was educated at Burney's GosportG.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Burrard, of Lymington, Hampshire [U.K., 1807] on 18 October 1813.2 He was Captain of the H.M.S. Grasshopper.2 He was Captain of the frigate H.M.S. Hind.2 He was Flag Captain of the 74 gun ship of the line, H.M.S. Revenge.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue in the Royal Navy.2 He was also a well-known painter, and did a number of water-colours of the New Forest.2
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
