Sir Anthony Hungerford was born in 1564.1 He was the son of Anthony Hungerford and Bridget Shelley.2 He married, firstly, Lucy Hungerford, daughter of Sir Walter Hungerford and Anne Dormer.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Crouch, daughter of John Crouch.1 He died on 27 June 1627.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Marlborough in 1593.3 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1594 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Bedwyn from 1597 to 1604.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire between 1608 and 1624.1 He was appointed Knight in February 1607/8.1 He lived at Down Ampney, Gloucestershire, England.1 He lived at Black Bourton, Oxfordshire, England.1

Sir Edward Hungerford was born in 1596.1 He was the son of Sir Anthony Hungerford and Lucy Hungerford.2 He and Margaret Haliday obtained a marriage license on 26 February 1619/20.1 He died in 1648, without issue.1
In 1607 he inherited Hungerford estates on death of his maternal grandfather's half-brother.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chippenham in 1620.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire in 1624.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1625.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1632.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chippenham in 1640.1 He fought in the Battle of Lansdown Hill on 5 July 1643.1 He gained the rank of Battle of Roundway Down on 13 July 1643.1
