     William Saurin Cox was born in 1817.² He was the son of Reverend Richard Cox and Sarah Hawtry.¹ He married Mary Miller, daughter of Rowley Miller and Margaret Torrens, on 6 January 1843 at Moneymore, County Londonderry, Ireland.¹ He died on 28 February 1865 at Moyola Lodge, Castledawson, County Antrim, Ireland.¹
