He married Romana von Hofmannsthal, daughter of Raimund von Hofmannsthal and Ava Alice Muriel Astor, on 15 April 1958.2 He died on 16 October 1982 at age 50.2

Raimund von Hofmannsthal was the son of Hugo Laurenz August Hofmann von Hofmannsthal and Gertrud Schlesinger.1,2 He married, firstly, Ava Alice Muriel Astor, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Jacob Astor IV and Ava Loel Willing, in 1933.3 He and Ava Alice Muriel Astor were divorced in 1939.3 He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Hester Mary Paget, daughter of Charles Henry Alexander Paget, 6th Marquess of Anglesey and Lady Victoria Marjorie Harriet Manners, on 7 June 1939 at Chelsea, London, England.1,4 He died on 20 March 1974.1
