Sir Thomas Skinner, 1st Bt. was born on 23 November 1840.1 He was the son of James Skinner.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Margaret Hewitt, daughter of Jonas Barnett Hewitt, on 17 March 1866.1 He married, secondly, Martha Lauretta Long, daughter of Job Long, on 26 May 1903.2 He died on 11 May 1926 at age 85.2
