     Nicholas Moseley was baptised on 26 December 1611.¹ He was the son of Oswald Mosley and Anne Lowe.² He married Jane Lever, daughter of John Lever.¹ He died circa 25 October 1672.¹ He was buried on 28 October 1672.¹
     Between 1643 and 1646 he was a royalist during the Civil War, hence his estates were confiscated (he redeemed them for a large fine.¹ He wrote the book Psychosophia, or Natural and Divine Contemplations of the Passions and Faculties of the Soul of Man, published 1653.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire in 1660.¹ He was Boroughreeve of Manchester from 1661 to 1662.¹ He lived at Ancoats, England^G.¹ He had another son (unmarried) and four daughters.¹

     John Lever lived at Alkrington, England.¹

     Jane Lever is the daughter of John Lever.² She married Nicholas Moseley, son of Oswald Mosley and Anne Lowe.¹
     Her married name became Moseley.

     Oswald Moseley was baptised on 1 September 1639.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Moseley and Jane Lever.² He married Mary Yates, daughter of William Yates.¹ He died circa 31 August 1726.¹ He was buried on 2 September 1726.¹
     He had three younger sons (without male issue or unmarried) and a daughter.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1699.¹ He lived at Rolleston, Staffordshire, England.¹

     William Yates lived at Stanley House, Lancashire, England.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹

     Mary Yates is the daughter of William Yates.² She married Oswald Moseley, son of Nicholas Moseley and Jane Lever.¹
     Her married name became Moseley.

     Sir Oswald Mosley, 1st Bt. was born on 28 July 1674.² He was the son of Oswald Moseley and Mary Yates.³ He was baptised on 11 August 1674 at Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England.² He married Elizabeth Thornhaugh, daughter of John Thornhaugh and Elizabeth Earle, on 4 February 1702/3.¹ He died on 10 June 1751 at age 76.¹
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn.¹ He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He inherited the Hulme and Manchester estates from his cousin Anne Lady Bland.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1715.² He built Manchester's first Exchange building.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Mosley, of Rolleston, co. Staffs [Great Britain] on 18 June 1720.¹ In 1745 he was a Jacobite sympathise, and seems to have secretly harboured Prince Charles Edward the year before the Rising.¹

     John Thornhaugh married Elizabeth Earle, daughter of Sir Richard Earle, 1st Bt..¹
     He lived at Fenton, Staffordshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Thornhaugh is the daughter of John Thornhaugh and Elizabeth Earle.^2,1 She married Sir Oswald Mosley, 1st Bt., son of Oswald Moseley and Mary Yates, on 4 February 1702/3.¹
     From 4 February 1702/3, her married name became Mosley.

     Sir Oswald Mosley, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 April 1705.¹ He was the son of Sir Oswald Mosley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Thornhaugh.² He died on 26 February 1757 at age 51, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mosley, of Rolleston, co. Staffs [G.B., 1720] on 10 June 1751.¹
