     Sir Adrian Holman was born on 22 December 1895.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Harriet Anne Tyrrell, daughter of William George Tyrrell, 1st and last Baron Tyrrell of Avon and Margaret Ann Urquhart, on 30 April 1930.2 He and Hon. Harriet Anne Tyrrell were divorced in 1932.1 He married, secondly, Adeline Betty Daphne Fox, daughter of Sir Gilbert Wheaton Fox, 1st Bt., on 17 May 1940.2
     He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1918, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.2 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1920 and 1954.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1936.2 He held the office of Ambassador to Cuba between 1950 and 1954.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1954.2

     William George Tyrrell, 1st and last Baron Tyrrell of Avon was born on 17 August 1866.1 He was the son of William Henry Tyrrell and Julia Wakefield.1 He married Margaret Ann Urquhart, daughter of David Urquhart of Braelangwell and Harriet Angelina Fortescue, on 22 April 1891.1 He died on 14 March 1947 at age 80.1
     He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to France.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was with the Foreign Office in 1889.1 He was Private Secretary to the Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1907 and 1915.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1909.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1913.1 He held the office of Assistant Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1918 and 1925.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1919.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1925.1 He held the office of Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1925 and 1928.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1927.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1928.1 He was created 1st Baron Tyrrell of Avon, co.      From 22 April 1891, her married name became Tyrrell. After her marriage, Margaret Ann Urquhart was styled as Baroness Tyrrell of Avon on 24 July 1929.
