     Sarah Goddard was born in 1738.¹ She was the daughter of John Goddard and Elizabeth Smith.^1,2 She married Dr. William Markham, son of Major William Markham and Elizabeth Markham, on 16 June 1759.¹ She died on 26 January 1814 at Mortimer Street, Cavendish Square, London, England.¹
     From 16 June 1759, her married name became Markham.¹

     John Goddard was born in 1690.² He was the son of Holland Goddard and Sarah Wyke.² He married Elizabeth Smith.² He died in 1767.²

     Admiral John Markham was born on 13 June 1761 at Westminster, London, England.¹ He was the son of Dr. William Markham and Sarah Goddard.¹ He married Maria Rice, daughter of Rt. Hon. George Rice and Cecil de Cardonnel, Baroness Dynevor of Dynevor, in 1796.¹ He died on 13 February 1827 at age 65 at Naples, Italy.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He was commissioned in March 1775, in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portsmouth between 1801 and 1818.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portsmouth between 1820 and 1826.¹ He gained the rank of Admiral.³

     Henry Davenport married Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of Sherrington Talbot and Jane Lyttelton.¹ He died in 1698.¹
