     John Sutton was born in 1770.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Sutton, 1st Bt. and Ann Williams.¹ He married Sophia Frances Chaplin, daughter of Charles Chaplin and Elizabeth Thoroton.¹ He died on 15 September 1801.¹

     Sophia Frances Chaplin was the daughter of Charles Chaplin and Elizabeth Thoroton.¹ She married, firstly, John Sutton, son of Sir Richard Sutton, 1st Bt. and Ann Williams.² She married, secondly, Thomas Wright, son of Thomas Wright and Mary Smith, on 4 October 1804.³ She died on 9 February 1844.³
     Her married name became Sutton.³ Her married name became Wright.

     Thomas Wright was born on 6 December 1773.¹ He was the son of Thomas Wright and Mary Smith.¹ He married Sophia Frances Chaplin, daughter of Charles Chaplin and Elizabeth Thoroton, on 4 October 1804.¹
     He lived at Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, England^G. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottinghamshire.¹ He lived at Upton Hall, Newark, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1811.¹

     Sir Richard Sutton, 1st Bt. was born on 31 July 1733.² He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Sutton and Judith Tichborne.³ He married, firstly, Susan Champion de Crespigny, daughter of Philip Champion de Crespigny and Anne Fonnereau.² He married, secondly, Ann Williams, daughter of William Peere Williams.² He married, thirdly, Margaret Porter, daughter of John Porter, on 8 April 1793.⁴ He died on 10 January 1802 at age 68.⁴
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Under-Secretary between 1766 and 1772.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Albans between 1768 and 1780.² He was created 1st Baronet Sutton, of Norwood Park, co. Nottingham [Great Britain] on 14 October 1772.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sandwich between 1780 and 1784.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Boroughbridge between 1784 and 1796.²

     Martha Douglas was the daughter of George Douglas of Parkhead.¹ She married Reverend Robert Bruce, 1st of Kinnaird, son of Sir Alexander Bruce of Airth and Janet Livingston.
     Her married name became Bruce.¹

     William Peere Williams is the son of William Peere Williams and Anne Hutchins.²
     He lived at Cadleigh, Devon, England.³ He lived at Cadhay, Devon, England^G.¹

     Rebecca Louise Atkinson was born in 1987.¹ She is the daughter of Neil Atkinson and Catherine Fiona Lubbock.¹

     Elizabeth Anne Atkinson was born in 1994.¹ She is the daughter of Neil Atkinson and Catherine Fiona Lubbock.¹

     Margaret Porter was the daughter of John Porter. She married Sir Richard Sutton, 1st Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Sutton and Judith Tichborne, on 8 April 1793.¹ She died on 3 January 1824, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Sutton.
