Donald Macdonell and Anne Isabella Macdonell.³ He married Catherine Sidgreaves, daughter of James Sidgreaves, on 13 September 1859 at Preston, Lancashire, England.^1,2 He died on 13 January 1898 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was a practising Advocate.¹ He purchased South Morar in 1855 from Ranald Macdonald, 7th of Geridhoil and 14th of Morar.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at South Morar, Inverness-shire, Scotland.¹

     Catherine Sidgreaves was born in 1830.² She was the daughter of James Sidgreaves.¹ She married Eneas Ronald Macdonell, son of Lt.-Col. Donald Macdonell and Anne Isabella Macdonell, on 13 September 1859 at Preston, Lancashire, England.^1,2 She died in 1888.²
     From 13 September 1859, her married name became Macdonell.
