James Morrison1

     James Morrison was the son of Charles John Joseph Morrison and Sarah Grimston.2 He married Mary Anne Todd, daughter of Joseph Todd, in 1814.1 He died on 30 October 1857.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Ives in 1830.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich in 1832.1 He was head of Morrison, Dillon and Co, of Fore St, London.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Inverness Burghs between 1840 and 1847.1 He was (an unknown value) at Hampshire, England.1 The story of a Morrison making a fortune by stockpiling black crepe just before a Sovereign's death, usually ascribed to Hugh Morrison before Queen Victoria's, is more likely to refer, if at all, to this James Morrison just before King William IV's death.1

     Mary Anne Todd was the daughter of Joseph Todd.2 She married James Morrison, son of Charles John Joseph Morrison and Sarah Grimston, in 1814.1 She died on 20 February 1887.1
     From 1814, her married name became Morrison.

     Frank Morrison was born in 1824.1 He was the son of James Morrison and Mary Anne Todd.2 He married Henrietta Grant, daughter of James Murray Grant, 11th of Glenmoriston and Henrietta Cameron, on 26 September 1854.1 He died on 14 January 1904, without issue.1
     He lived at Hole Park, Kent, England.1

Walter Morrison1

     Walter Morrison was born on 21 May 1836.1 He was the son of James Morrison and Mary Anne Todd.2 He died on 18 December 1921 at age 85, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Plymouth between 1861 and 1874.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of the West Riding, Yokrshire in 1883.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Skipton Yorkshire between 1886 and 1892.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1895.1 In 1910 he inherited Basildon Park from his elder brother and settled on his nephew, James Archibald, and Malham Tarn House.1
