Lt.-Col. George Frank Brooke was born on 30 October 1878.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Francis Theophilius Brooke and Alice Mary Moore.1 He married Theodora Olivia Jackson, daughter of Richard Meredith Jackson, on 12 June 1907.1 He died on 20 November 1966 at age 88.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Connaught Rangers.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 with two bars.1 He lived at West Byfleet, Surrey, EnglandG.
