     Hon. Margaret Alice Holland was born in 1862 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Henry Thurstan Holland, 1st Viscount Knutsford and Margaret Jean Trevelyan.³ She married Reginald Abel Smith, son of Robert Smith and Isabel Adeane, on 15 October 1885.¹ She died on 16 May 1937.⁴
     From 15 October 1885, her married name became Abel Smith. She lived in 1911 at Goldings Park, Hertfordshire, England^G.²
