     He lived at Chelsea, London, England.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1965.1

     Christopher Marsden-Smedley was the son of Basil Futvoye Marsden-Smedley and Hester Harriott Pinney.2,3 He married Susan Penelope King, daughter of Sir James Granville le Neve King of Campsie, 3rd Bt. and Penelope Charlotte Cooper-Key, on 7 December 1957.1 He died on 12 February 2015.4
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1
