Julia Showers was the daughter of General St. George Showers.1 She married, firstly, Colonel William Maxwell before 1890.1 She married, secondly, General Sir Julius Richard Glyn, son of Reverend Thomas Clayton Glyn and Jemima Julia Hammond, on 2 October 1890.1 She died on 12 August 1910.1
From before 1890, her married name became Maxwell.1 From 2 October 1890, her married name became Glyn.1
