     Charles Frederick Robert Barnett was born on 23 December 1879 at Reading, Berkshire, England.2 He was the son of Francis Carew Charles Barnett and Emily Ursula Hamilton.2 He married Cicley Frances Cornish, daughter of Reverend Stephen Cornish, on 4 February 1903.1,2 He died on 29 April 1915 at age 35 at Ypres, Belgium, killed in action.3 He was buried at Ploegsteert Wood Military Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 4 August 1914 in the 5th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.2
