     Charles Cæsar Hawkins was born on 15 March 1864.¹ He was the son of Reverend Robert Hawkins and Frances Julia Nicolls.² He died on 9 August 1938 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was registered as a Member, Institution of Electrical Engineers (M.I.E.E.)¹ He was Superintendent of the Department of Technology between 1920 and 1934 at City and Guilds Engineering College, London, England^G.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1935.¹

     Emily Louisa Margaret Hawkins was the daughter of Reverend Robert Hawkins and Frances Julia Nicolls.² She died on 24 September 1947, unmarried.¹

     Sarah Hawkins is the daughter of Sir Cæsar Hawkins, 1st Bt. and Sarah Coxe.² She married Reverend Robert Andrews.¹

     He lived at Hedley, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Charlotte Cassandra Surtees was the daughter of William Surtees and Elizabeth Catherine Lewis.^2,3 She married Sir John Cæsar Hawkins, 3rd Bt., son of John Hawkins and Anne Colborne, on 11 August 1804.¹ She died on 14 October 1855.¹
     From 11 August 1804, her married name became Hawkins.
