Henry Rudston Stuart-Hamilton was born on 10 February 1883.1 He was the son of Howden Anson Philip Hamilton and Caroline Alice Faulconer.2 He married Mabel Mary Ellerbeck, daughter of Reverend Edmund Milnes Ellerbeck, on 24 June 1920.1 He died on 24 September 1962 at age 79.1
He was given the name of Henry Rudston Hamilton at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He fought in the First World War.1 On 19 June 1920 his name was legally changed to Henry Rudston Stuart-Hamilton by Deed Poll.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was with the Diplomatic Service.1
