     Bennet Sherard, 3rd Earl of Harborough was baptised on 3 September 1709.² He was the son of Philip Sherard, 2nd Earl of Harborough and Anne Pedley.^1,3 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Verney, daughter of Ralph Verney, 1st Earl Verney and Catherine Paschall, on 27 June 1748.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Noel, daughter of William Noel, on 3 July 1757.¹ He married, thirdly, Margaret Hill, daughter of Thomas Hill, on 21 March 1761.¹ He married, fourthly, Elizabeth Cave, daughter of Sir Thomas Cave, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Davies, in 1767.¹ He died on 23 February 1770 at age 60.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baron Sherard, of Leitrim [I., 1627] on 20 July 1758.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Harborough, of Harborough, co. Leicester [G.B., 1714] on 20 July 1758.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Harborough [G.B., 1719] on 20 July 1758.¹

     Philip Sherard, 2nd Earl of Harborough was born circa 1680.³ He was the son of Bennet Sherard and Hon. Dorothy Fairfax.¹ He married Anne Pedley, daughter of Nicholas Pedley.⁴ He died on 20 July 1758.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron Sherard, of Leitrim [I., 1627] on 16 October 1732.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Harborough [G.B., 1719] on 16 October 1732.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Harborough, of Harborough, co. Leicester [G.B., 1714] on 16 October 1732.⁴ He lived at Whissendine, Rutland, England^G.⁴

     Princess Leonilla Ivanovna Bariatinskaya is the daughter of Ivan Ivanovich Bariatinsky, Prince Bariatinsky and Maria Wilhelmina von Keller.¹ She married Ludwig Adolf Friedrich Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, son of Ludwig Adolf Peter Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg.¹

     Anne Pedley is the daughter of Nicholas Pedley.¹ She married Philip Sherard, 2nd Earl of Harborough, son of Bennet Sherard and Hon. Dorothy Fairfax.¹
     Her married name became Sherard.¹ After her marriage, Anne Pedley was styled as Countess of Harborough on 16 October 1732.

     Nicholas Pedley is the son of Sir Nicholas Pedley.¹

     Sir Nicholas Pedley was a practising Serjeant-at-Law.¹ He lived at Huntingdon, England^G.¹
